series was developed by PSB company as universal, in which everyone can find speaker system for himself. And this can be qualitative budget or expensive speaker systems, which meet the strictest demands for movies and music. C40 is inexpensive qualitative solution for stylish home cinema (the older model, C60, is built by similar scheme, but is equipped with larger MF/LF drivers. Everything is symmetrical on the faceplate of C40 - from both sides there are one MF/LF speaker, made of metalized polypropylene with the diameter of 133 mm, and a large bass-reflex port. Silk tweeter is made of aluminum, and ferro-magnetic liquid was used for cooling. The speaker system is made by two-wire scheme, the third-ordered crossover answers for separation, which is set on the frequency of 2.2 kHz. Unfortunately, there is only one pair of terminals, so you can't organize bi-wiring.

Sound. The sound of PSB C40 has space, volume and air. The speaker system plays sound lines and details freely, massively, that is why the center of panorama turns out to be convex, nicely put forward. Sudden outbreaks of big acoustic energy are perfectly worked out. Lower case is dense, elastic, does not prevail in an integrated way. If there is a relief LF-material in the recording, the center immediately shows bass muscles. The speaker systems greatly work with any material. C40 plays the details of sound relief expressively, effectively and won't let cinema lover be bored.
