The front panel of NAD T753 receiver with traditional design does not look overloaded with controls, but the adjustment of all basic functions is available from it. A small lid protects AV-connectors on the facade against dust. The large mass of the receiver (20 kg) is explained by the presence of a powerful transformer inside. There are no surprises on the back panel. In the arsenal there are detachable network cable, additional socket, 7.1-input, control bus and a lot of AV-inputs. However, there are only two component video inputs among them, but no HDMI or iLink. Four fans look threatening, but they turned out to be almost noiseless.

Functions. An interesting element that confirms the orientation of the receiver designed, first of all, for audiophiles is the "soft clipping" mode, which cuts extreme peak loads, which largely reduces the level of distortion. It is unlikely appealed to a movie fan: the dramatic effect of the most large-scale effects is reduced. Otherwise, the equipment of the receiver is quite traditional; however, the proprietary EARS system of the surrounding sound plays the role of the decoder Dolby Pro Logic II.

Control. The design of the front panel can not be called a triumph of ergonomics - the traditional desire to make the buttons uniform prevailed. But the remote control does not cause any complaints - it's quite handy, taught to both individual commands and macros, has the backlight of all the keys. A separate credit card sized control panel is provided for the second zone. Certain claims are caused by a system of on-screen menus. They are too ascetic.

Recommendations. Over the years NAD has acquired enough fans, among which, of course, there are people who want to buy this particular receiver. NAD T753 receiver will be somewhat a compromise - a worthy musicality, especially if there are good shelf speakers and room is small, with a modest functional outfit. We recommend it, firstly, to music lovers. In movie it does not exceed its competitors, but when playing CDs, it largely demolishes the view that AV receiver is not suitable for work as a stereo amplifier.
